Packs and discounts
A pack pays airframe hours in advance. Flights are still billed at full price; the discount is computed separately and credited to the pilot's account.
What the club defines
Each club creates its packs in Pricing › Packs and chooses:
- the number of airframe hours covered (25 h, 10 h, 50 h… as many packs as wanted);
- the pack's selling price and sales account;
- for each machine, the hourly pack price: €0 (free hour), a fraction of the normal price, or the normal price (machine not covered).
On the covered hours the hourly price drops to the machine's "pack price"; the difference comes back as a discount.
Example (one club's amounts, to adapt)
A 25-hour pack sold at €550:
| Machine | Normal price | Pack price | Discount per hour |
|---|---|---|---|
| Beginner single-seater | €19/h | €0/h | €19.00 |
| Training two-seater | €25/h | €0/h | €25.00 |
| TMG (airframe) | €25/h | €0/h | €25.00 |
| Club single-seater | €29/h | €0/h | €29.00 |
| Performance single-seater | €35/h | €3.50/h | €31.50 |
| Performance two-seater | €41/h | €8.20/h | €32.80 |
| Performance+ single-seater | €42/h | €8.40/h | €33.60 |
The pack covers neither the launch (aerotow, winch), nor the TMG's engine, nor the plane: those stay at full price.
The calculation
For each covered flight:
discount = hours drawn from the pack × (normal price − pack price)
- Hours are drawn in flight order. If the pack runs out mid-flight, only the covered part is discounted; the rest is at full price.
- On a shared flight, each pilot draws their half from their own pack.
- Several packs are used one after the other, oldest first.
- A pack applies to flights from its validity date (normally the purchase date) and is valid for the fiscal year it was bought in: unused hours are not carried over.
- A pack bought after some of the year's flights can apply to them if its validity date is earlier: discounts are then recomputed.
Examples
For a pilot holding the 25-hour pack:
| Flight | Full price (FL) | Discount (REM) | Left to pay |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 h 30 solo in a club single-seater, 15-hundredth tow | €43.50 + €48.30 = €91.80 | 1.5 h × €29 = €43.50 | €48.30 (the tow) |
| 2 h solo in a performance single-seater, winch (flight over 46 min) | €70.00 + €19.00 = €89.00 | 2 h × €31.50 = €63.00 | €26.00 |
| 2 h shared flight in a performance two-seater, 12-hundredth tow: your half | €41.00 + €19.92 = €60.92 | 1 h × €32.80 = €32.80 | €28.12 |
| 2 h solo in a club single-seater, 0 h 30 left on the pack | €58.00 + launch | 0.5 h × €29 = €14.50 | €43.50 + launch |
Is the pack worth it? It pays for itself when the discounts add up to its price: pack price ÷ discount per hour. With the €550 example, that is after about 22 h in a training two-seater or TMG, 19 h in a club single-seater, 17 h 30 in a performance single-seater and 17 h in a performance two-seater or performance+. Flying only the beginner single-seater, it doesn't.
On the club side
| Action | Where | Who |
|---|---|---|
| Define a pack (hours, sales account, pack price per machine) | Tarifs › Forfaits | Administrator, treasurer |
| Sell a pack to a member (price, validity date) | Facturation & Vols › Packs › Sell a pack | Treasurer |
| Compute discounts for billed flights | Facturation & Vols › Packs › Apply discounts | Treasurer |
| Follow a member's packs | Member record, Packs tab | Office, treasurer |
Apply discounts only processes flights not reviewed yet; the full recalculation replays the whole year when in doubt. The Check button finds anomalies without changing anything, for example a shared flight discounted for only one of the two pilots.
