A typical day

How a flying day unfolds, in the order it happens on the field.

1. Opening the day

Instructor or duty manager.

From the paired kiosk, or from the member portal (Planche management tab), pick the day's duty manager and open the Planche. This is what allows flights to be declared on this airfield today, and starts OGN tracking if the field is equipped.

2. Planning

Instructor or duty manager.

  • Record who is present (Click&Glide import or manual entry).
  • Assign machines to the pilots present for the day.
  • Set up the launch crews: the day's winch and tow plane.

3. Following flights

Any pilot, or the kiosk.

  • Declare a flight: pilot, machine, flight type, launch method and launch type.
  • Take off, then Land, with the big button on the flight card (Planche tab).
  • Edit, duplicate or delete a flight through the ⋯ button until it is validated.
  • Spot an outlanding, or a flight OGN detected but nobody declared.

4. Engine time

TMG or tow pilot.

  • Tow plane: open its tow-plane log for the day (pilot and starting meter reading), then enter a single meter reading per flight — engine time is computed. Warm-up and test flights are declared as dedicated flights (+ Warm-up, + Test).
  • TMG, plane, self-launching glider launched "Autonomous": the starting meter reading is entered when declaring, the final one when landing.

5. Validation and closing

Any pilot, then the instructor or duty manager.

  • The pilot certifies their landed flight from the Planche tab ("my data is correct") — with their FFVP licence number on the tablet if the club requires it.
  • The duty manager validates each flight from the All flights tab, or all at once. An incomplete flight is skipped without blocking the others.
  • A validated flight is locked; it is then sent to the ERP.
  • At the end of the day, close the Planche.
